STAN BRAVO is an American born and Australian raised rapper and lyricist. He is a critically and commercially acclaimed artist, who started his musical journey as a teenager after his family migrated to Sydney from Harlem NYC in search of a better life. Bravo began his career as an emcee hosting some of Sydney's biggest night spots before leaving to pursue his real passion, music. This passion saw Stan becoming labeled as “Sydney’s Rhyme King” appearing on various underground and commercial mixtapes such as Dj Nino Brown’s platinum selling Blazin’ mixtape series. Stan's ability to move a crowd saw him being the main support act for the Nelly, Busta Rhymes, and Murder Inc tours, where he performed in front of tens of thousands, in sold out arenas around the country. As an rapper Stan collaborated with many of the countries and the worlds respected artists such as Royce Da 5’9, Slim (From 112), The Beatnuts J Wess, Ricki Lee (“Hello” reached number 9 on the Aria Urban Charts) and Joel Turner’s “All Night Long” single which earned him a nomination for Urban Work of The Year and Best New Artist at the 2006 Urban Music Awards. As a recent Cancer survivor Stan has a renewed passion and focus for life, music and the culture, he says “even though I am in remission, going through Cancer and Chemo has re energised and gave me a renewed passion to share everything that I know about music and the industry to the next generation. That’s why I launched the Stan Bravo Podcast.” Bravo remains open, honest and committed towards continuing to push the music and the culture forward.
